Understand schedule and window
A scheduled date and time establish when delivery may begin. Permitted send days, windows, account limits and pacing can affect when recipients are actually processed.
Use an explicit timezone and inspect the expected delivery display. Recipient-local options and fallback settings require careful review when an audience spans regions.
Schedule the initial campaign
- In Setup & Schedule, select the sender and choose Schedule.
- Set the date, time and timezone. Inspect the expected delivery and any adjustment to a permitted window.
- Open Advanced delivery controls and review send days, window, delay and rate limits where available.
- Confirm schedule details in Review before choosing the final creation or approval action.
Schedule selects the delivery mode in an unsaved example. Continue and Review are still required before final submission.
Create a follow-up sequence
- Open Follow-ups and choose Add first follow-up, then Add next for additional steps.
- Enter the follow-up title and message, or apply a template. Check the signature toggle.
- Choose Continue existing thread to retain the conversation context, or the available new-thread option when a separate subject is needed.
- Keep only the steps you intend to use enabled; inspect all active content before finalizing.

After previous expresses a delay in days and hours; Fixed time uses an explicit scheduled time. Review the displayed calculated run time.
Send if no reply avoids continuing the sequence after a detected response. Send if not opened and Send if not clicked depend on the corresponding tracking signals; those signals are not perfect proof of recipient behavior.
Review Advanced options for inheritance and custom delivery controls. A step can follow the campaign window or use supported overrides.
Timing and response conditions are separate choices. The screenshot uses an unsaved fictional example; inherited configuration details are hidden.

- After creation or approval, open the campaign’s Follow-ups action from Campaigns.
- Review each step’s status and recipient progress alongside the initial campaign.
- Use only the lifecycle actions available for that step and state. Pause, resume or retry can affect delivery; check eligibility before confirming.
Honor replies and opt-outs
A detected reply can make a no-reply follow-up ineligible. Review Inbox before manually restarting a conversation. An automated response should be interpreted separately from positive interest.
Suppressed contacts and blocked domains must remain excluded. Do not remove an opt-out to force a sequence to continue.
Troubleshooting
- Waiting campaign: check schedule, timezone, allowed days, sender readiness and pacing before retrying.
- Follow-up not sent: review enabled state, prerequisites, response conditions, suppression and the calculated run time.
- Unexpected subject: check whether the step continues an existing thread or starts a new one.
- Unexpected window: compare inherited campaign policy, workspace fallback settings and explicit step overrides.
