Channel availability and permissions
Open Workspace settings → WhatsApp. The Connection, Templates and Setup guide tabs cover the supported operational messaging connection. WhatsApp remains a separate channel from Commerce integrations.
Workspace administrators configure the connection. Template creation and approval management may require additional platform permissions; a workspace administrator should not assume that all template actions are available.
Connect the intended account
- Open Connection and confirm the workspace and provider account you intend to use.
- Enter the connection fields required by the editor using your own authorized account. Keep secret values in the protected fields.
- Follow Setup guide using the receiver address and event subscriptions shown in your authenticated settings screen.
- Use the matching webhook signing secret for that provider account, then save and review the connection checks.
- Open Templates to review approval status, active revisions and previews before using a template.
Use Connection to review configuration, Templates for approval status and Setup guide for the authenticated setup instructions.
Account details and configuration values are hidden.Consent and approved messages
Respect recipient consent and opt-outs. For invoices, billing reminders and messages outside the supported conversation window, use an approved utility template as required by the channel.
A connected account does not mean that every template is approved or every recipient can be messaged. Review the applicable template and recipient state before sending.
Approval and live revision state are shown separately. Workspace template controls can be read-only for your role.
Account details and configuration values are hidden.Keep connection details private
- Copy setup values from your own authenticated screen rather than from another workspace’s screenshots.
- When changing the connected provider account, supply its matching signing secret.
- Do not include keys, secret fragments or recipient information in public examples or support requests.
If connection or messaging fails
Review the connection checks for missing configuration. Confirm that the credentials and webhook configuration belong to the same provider account.
If a template cannot be used, review its approval and revision state. Ask the administrator with template-management access to resolve an unavailable or rejected template. Do not bypass consent or approval requirements.
